Committee Descriptions These committees exist to serve our club and our members and to enhance and promote the growth of our activites. These committees are responsible for helping to make Tuesday night dancing a more rewarding and enjoyable experience for all. If you have any concerns, thoughts, or suggestions about what we do on Tuesday night and how to improve and enhance our activites, please share your thoughts with a member of the appropriate committee. If you are a member of our club and you'd like to serve on a committee, please let us know.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee, consisting of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, is responsible for overseeing the functioning of the club on a week-to-week basis. The Executive Committee uses its experience, discretion, and judgement to promote the growth and promotion of our club's activities.

Programming Committee
The Programming Committee consists of the active, regularly-scheduled weekly programmers and is responsible for providing quality programs each week that promote the growth of the club and it's activities, and promote the enthusiasm of the club membership. The committee's responsibilities include scheduling and training Programmers, Music and Programming Assistants, and Programmers-In-Training, and handling all other concerns about programming.

Music and Programming Assistants Sub-Committee
The Music and Programming Assistants Sub-Committee consists of the active, regularly-scheduled weekly Music and Programming Assistants as well as Programmers-In-Training, and is responsible for helping the Programmers to provide quality programs each week. This sub-committee is directly responsible to the Programming Committee which oversees it's members and functions.

Music Infrastructure Committee
The Music Infrastructure Committee is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the music collection, musical playlists, dance lists, programming books, as well as handling other concerns that arise about music. Like the General Infrastructure Committee, the Music Infrastructure Committee is collection of individuals with individual responsibilities rather than a group that makes group decisions.

Teaching Committee
The Teaching Committee, consists primarily of recognized local teachers who frequent our events. The Teaching Committee is responsible for scheduling teachers, coordinating , and overseeing Intermediate (7:30) teaching each month, and handling concerns about Intermediate (7:30) teaching.

Special Events Committee
The Special Events Committee is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing parties that are beyond the scope of our regular Tuesday night dancing events.

Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee is responsible for handling publicity including announcements, fliers, posters for bulletin boards around town, announcement of our events at other dances, and radio, television ads and newspaper ads, as well as newspaper articles of interest to the community.

Welcoming Committee
The Welcoming Committee is responsible for welcoming and orienting new members and visitors to our club.

Phone-Tree Committee
The Phone-Tree Committee is responsible for contacting members, when necessary, outside of dancing.

General Infrastructure Committee
The General Infrastructure Committee covers a variety of logistical, maintenance, and upkeep functions for the club including: church Laison, building issues, and responsibilities for the dance hall such as coordinating and overseeing the opening and closing of the hall. This committee also covers finances, insurance, purchases, supplies, records, archives, photography, club announcements, Early (7:00) Teaching, and website development. This Committee is collection of individuals with individual responsibilities rather than a group that makes group decisions.
